Placentia, CA — The Lady Knights struggled at the plate for six innings, but Lalli Lopez was able to battle, keeping the El Dorado hitters off balance, and giving the Knights a chance to win the game. The top of the seventh inning got started with a base hit by Presley German, who was successfully moved to second by Mak Boston on a sacrifice bunt. Miranda Steinberg came off the bench to hit a laser to the left center field fence for a double, tying the game. Riley Osborn came into the game, running for Miranda, and Morgan Winters blasted a ball to left center, putting the Knights ahead. After a high chopper in the hole, that moved Winters to third, Mikayla Prudholme hit a sharp single to left as an insurance run. Lopez finished the game by striking out El Dorado's lead-off hitter with a nasty change up in the dirt. Delaney O'Donoghue, helped seal the win by blocking the last pitch and executing the dropped third strike to end the game. Great Job Ladies!! Coach Wright
