San Juan Capistrano, CA — Our girls had an amazing start to our season tonight! We ended on top with 4 goals from Sydney Chapman, 4 goals from Kamron McCord, 4 goals from Sloane Paulson, 2 goals from Zoe Gabriel, 1 goal from Sayre Duran, 1 Goal from Sophia Balkhi, and 1 goal from Sam Cotter! So many names on the board for goals is why we came out on top! However we had some amazing team defense and some awesome goalies in the cage. With numerous blocks from Senior Micaela Martz and from Freshman Sayre Duran. It was great watching the girls work hard together on the things we've been practicing. Pressing high and hard in the lanes and forcing bad shots and turnovers. The girls really showed up for eachother. Before the game we read 1 Corinthians 9:24 , "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize." We started the race today, to our ultimate goal, CIF in 4 months! I am so proud of all the girls! Go lions!
