Irvine, CA — Thursday afternoon the Foothill Knights faced off against Beckman high school at Beckman. The knights going into this matchup were 3-0 looking for another win. The boys came out and performed winning the game 7-0. Early on within five minutes of the game, Nathan Torres finds the ball on a corner to put the knights up early. The boys keep the pressure going, adding two more goals by Devin Orozco, Devin worked hard in the first half to try to get a first half Hattrick, but ended up with a brace. In the first half Brian Yax gets a one on one with the goalkeeper in finishes it into the bottom left corner. Garrett Zehner was a presence on the attack creating many chances he assisted two goals and had two goals himself in the game. One a nice finish in the first half and finding a rebound in the second half. During the second half the Knights found two more goals one by Sergio Avalos chipping the ball from outside 18 into the goal. The Foothill knights looked great again, controlling the game from beginning to end, being dominant in attack and controlling in the defensive side. The nights are now 4-0 on the season with the game tomorrow against Tustin at Tustin high. It is the crosstown rival. It is a must win game. Go Knights!
