Petoskey, MI — The Freshman Oilers hit the road and traveled all the way up to Petoskey for their season finale on Thursday evening. After a hot start saw the Oilers go up 17-5 in the first quarter, Petoskey made things interesting and even took a few leads down the stretch. With the score all tied up and less than 10 seconds to play, Isaiah Rodriguez found Jaden Sumpter for the game-winner! Pierce Acles was the team's leading scorer with 9 points. It was a dramatic finish to a very hard-fought game which ended up being the perfect way to cap off a 13-8 season that saw immense effort and growth from all 14 guys. The Freshman Oilers have a lot to be proud of this season, especially winning 6 out of their last 7 games - many of which came against some of the toughest teams they saw all year! Great season Oilers!
