Irvine, CA — On Senior Day, 6 seniors were honored at Trojans Stadium with their families, cheerleaders and Irvine councilman in front of a packed house. Senior captain Michael Dougherty got the start and delivered with 7 strikeouts and a complete game shut out in a 7-0 win over league opponent Sage Hill. Dougherty also got 2 hits at the plate, while fellow captain catcher Alex Zive scored 2 runs. Senior centerfielder Aaron Millman drove in a run and scored a run for the Trojans. The other seniors also started the game in the victory over the Lightning. Logan Rome got the nod in right field, Chris Conner in left field and Adam Kunin at first base. The Trojan Army were treated with free snow-cones courtesy of the Booster Club. The team ends the regular season with a winning record 14-13-1, ranked #10 in the Max Preps Div 6 polls, #4 in CIF rankings and now awaits the fate of the selection committee for postseason playoff opportunity.
