Athens, AL — Rattlers struggle on the mound and defensively today. Gave up a total of 19 runs but only allowed 4 hits throughout the whole game. Too many HBP, and BB. Defensively we need more knowledge of the game. As a whole we need to be able to think before the play happens and understand different situations throughout the game. Offensively we are still to passive on pitches in the strike zone. We have to have an approach at the plate. Understand what a pitcher wants to do to us as hitters and be able to attack our strengths. We have to a better job in our pre-pitch preparation. Stepping out the box and resetting our focus. Knowing how to control the batters box, and having a ritual at the plate. Overall have to continue to get better.
