Thiensville, WI — Freshman sensation Savanna Miller put the team on her back against Homestead tonight, going the distance and striking out 11 in an important bounce-back win. After a tough week at the plate, the Port bats came alive with senior captain Josie Tetzlaff collecting two clutch hits, and sophomore catcher Hope Gilhooly hitting her first homer of the season. Once again, the Port crowd were relentless and out-cheered the shell-shocked opposition from start to finish. We are at home next week taking against the Blue Dukes of White Fish Bay on Tuesday, and West Bend West Thursday. Both games start at 4.15p.
