Bremen, GA — The Blue Devils (0-2, 0-1) saw a 3-2 lead at halftime become a 4-7 deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter against area rival North a Cobb Christian (1-0, 1-0). While the game was supposed to be played in the friendly confines of Blue Devil Family Park last Thursday, a predicted thunderstorm forced the game to be moved to the turf at NCC. Despite the conditions, and the travel, Bremen came out stronger than the previous game and looked to be poised in the early going. Davis Brock was assisted by Parr Folsom on 2 of his 4 goals, with Evan Brown and Cade Costanzo feeding the other two. Brock added to his point total on the night by feeding Costanzo for a man-up goal in the second half. Folsom rounded out the scoring adding 1 goal himself, but the Blue Devils were outshot 24-27 by NCC which ended up making the difference. Net-minder Jack Hicks had a stellar night with 12 saves and 60% save percentage, adding 7 GBs to the stat sheet. NCC held the slight advantage in that line as well by picking up 43 to Bremen’s 41. The Eagles held the advantage at the faceoff X as well, which ultimately played a huge role in their win. Next up the Blue Devils travel to face the Northgate Vikings on Monday, February 27 at 7 pm
