Santa Fe Springs, CA — The Chiefs opened up league play with a strong 5-0 win vs. La Serna. Fernando Palomares scored the opener with a shot from outside the penalty box that clipped the under side of the crossbar. The Chiefs second was scored by Johnny Escobar who had a fine finish from a through ball by Gerlyn Rojas. Nathaniel Santana scored the third on a free kick that deflected off a defender. The forth was scored after Oscar Tosatdo got in behind the defense, and then squared a pass to Ivan Rivera for an easy finish. Santana finished the scoring by heading in a cross from Jerry Chavez. The Chiefs are in action again tomorrow as they take on El Rancho.
