Beverly Hills, MI — Dylan Turnbull was bad news for opposing pitchers on Saturday, driving in four on two hits to lead Adams Highlanders Freshman past Groves Freshman Falcons 15-2 on Saturday. Turnbull drove in runs on a single in the third, a fielder's choice in the fourth, and a single in the fifth. Groves Freshman Falcons opened up scoring in the first inning. Marvin Ravela drove in one when Ravela singled. Adams Highlanders Freshman evened things up at one in the top of the second inning. Adams Highlanders Freshman pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Turnbull singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Owen Osterbur drew a walk, scoring one run, and Luke Newingham drew a walk, scoring one run. Adams Highlanders Freshman tallied six runs in the fifth inning. Adams Highlanders Freshman offense in the inning was led by Dominic Dumitrescu, Gavin Blanchard, Turnbull, and Johnny Safadi, who all drove in runs. Turnbull was on the pitcher's mound for Adams Highlanders Freshman. The fireballer allowed five hits and one run over three innings, striking out eight and walking one. Myles Rontal toed the rubber for Groves Freshman Falcons. Rontal went two innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out five and walking one. Nick Chalem, Ravela, and Zion Burrell each contributed in relief for Groves Freshman Falcons. Adams Highlanders Freshman hit one home run on the day. Dumitrescu had a homer in the fifth inning. Adams Highlanders Freshman collected 13 hits. Ayden Kosmal, Ben Peters, and Turnbull all collected multiple hits for Adams Highlanders Freshman. Peters and Kosmal each collected three hits to lead Adams Highlanders Freshman. Adams Highlanders Freshman was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Osterbur had the most chances in the field with ten. Safadi led Adams Highlanders Freshman with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
