Parlin, NJ — Bombers snatched the lead late in the game in a 15-5 victory over Woodbridge Barrons on Monday. The game was tied at three with Bombers batting in the bottom of the fourth when Nunez's wild pitch allowed one run to score for Bombers. Bombers captured the lead in the first inning when Michael Robinson lined out, driving in a run. Woodbridge Barrons knotted the game up at three in the top of the third inning, when Woodbridge Barrons scored one run on a stolen base. Bombers put up six runs in the fifth inning. Michael Novak, Aidan Crimmins, Jaydon Stio, and Jake Romanello each had RBIs in the frame. Jack Zapotizcny was the winning pitcher for Bombers. Zapotizcny surrendered two runs on one hit over two innings, striking out one. Aayush Mehta threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Nunez toed the rubber for Woodbridge Barrons. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs on seven hits and striking out four. Lukachyk threw two-thirds of an inning in relief. Romanello started the game for Bombers. The righty surrendered three runs on zero hits over two and a third innings, striking out two Bombers totaled 12 hits in the game. Romanello, Mehta, and Thomas Schlaline each managed multiple hits for Bombers. Romanello went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Bombers in hits. Bombers didn't commit a single error in the field. Robinson had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
