Edison, NJ — Nothing came easy for Bombers on Thursday, as they fell 12-2 to Edison Eagles Edison Eagles got things started in the first inning. Edison Eagles scored one run when Robert Roma tripled. Edison Eagles pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Paul Dicarlo singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run and Jackson Ferrer singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Edison Eagles scored five runs in the fourth inning. Jaxon Appleman, Dicarlo, and Ferrer each had RBIs in the frame. Roma got the start for Edison Eagles. The pitcher lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out four. Thomas Schlaline led things off on the hill for Bombers. Schlaline surrendered four runs on five hits over three innings, striking out three. Jack Zapotizcny and Logan Kaufman entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively. Jake Romanello and Aayush Mehta all had one hit to lead Bombers. Edison Eagles collected 13 hits on the day. Dicarlo, Ferrer, Appleman, and Dom Innocenti all collected multiple hits for Edison Eagles.
