Oak Harbor, WA — As a coach, this was a tough one to swallow. We played really well and controlled the game. Our inability to put the game away by netting a second goal was really our downfall. After holding a 1-0 deep into the game, we conceded a goal on a defensive breakdown that came from Oak Harbor playing a long clearance into our box. The fact that this was one of Oak Harbor’s only chances on goal, made this extra frustrating and painful to accept The truth is we are a relatively young and inexperienced team, and it’s games like these that we will learn from and as a result mature. All that said, I am very pleased with the way the boys played. They looked fantastic for the majority of the game!
