Ferndale, WA — Although dominating possession and attacking chances throughout most of the game, the Seahawks ended up losing to Ferndale 2-0. Anacortes started slow as Ferndale threatened to score several times within the first twenty minutes of the match, however, the Seahawks eventually found a rhythm and took control of the game. In the second half, the Seahawks were absolutely dominant, locking Ferndale in their back half for an extended stretch of time. The Seahawks were stymied chance after chance with one shot hitting the post and two others being cleared off the goal line. In an unfortunate backline mistake, the Seahawks gave away an unfortunate turnover that resulted in a breakaway and goal for the Eagles. That was all that Ferndale would need as the sealed the game with a late goal that came from the Seahawks throwing everyone up to attempt to even the score.
