Boise, ID — Skyview Freshman stole the lead late and defeated Boise 16-4 on Saturday. With one out in the top of the sixth Haynes caused Eli Strong to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored. Then the Hawks put up 12 more runs before finishing the first half of the sixth. Boise scored three runs in the first inning, but Skyview Freshman still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Boise came thanks to a groundout by Wilber and an error on a ball put in play by Hassinger. Boise got things moving in the first inning when an error scored two runs for Boise. Parx Johnston got the start for Skyview freshman Hawks. Parx surrendered four runs on three hits over 3 1/3 inning striking out six and walking one. Cal Christensen went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Skyview Freshman in hits.
