Nampa, ID — Skyview Hawks fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-3 loss to the Eagle Mustanges. Eagle scored on an error in the first inning to start if off for the Mustanges. Ledger Downs got the Hawks on the board when the Eagles first baseman made a ground ball error. Eagle scored four runs in the third inning. The big inning for the Mustanges came thanks to an error on a ball put in play by Ames the pitcher, Nate Johansen the third baseman and Shea all hitting singles. Eli Strong was the pitcher for the Hawks. Strong allowed two hits and seven runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Tavin Jones threw three and a third innings in relief allowing two hits 1 run and stiking out 2 batters. Cal Christensen hit a double to score Sam Svaty in the sixth. The Hawks had one last shot loading the bases in the sixth with one out, but the Mustanges were able to close out the inning without allowing any more runs. The Skyview Hawks Freshman will play the Eagle Mustanges again in a double header.
