Nampa, ID — The Hawks baseball game against the Mustangs was a heartbreaker. The Hawks scored six runs in the first to take the lead 6-2. The Hawks maintained the lead till the fourth when the Mustangs tied the game at sevens with a fielders choice to the 3rd baseman Sam Svaty. The next batter hits a ground single to advance a runner to third. The Hawks throw a wild pitch scoring the runner from third and loosing the lead 7-8. The Mustangs put two more runs on the board in the fifth and the Hawks add a single run for a final score of 8-10. The Freshmen Hawks tallied four hits and Eagle had seven in a high scoring defeat. Trevan Plew was on the mound for Skyview throwing three innings, allowing five runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one. Ledger Downs entered the game throwing one and two-thirds inning, allowing 2 runs on three hits, striking out two and walking one. Camden Tucker also pitching one-third inning allowing three runs and two walks. Lillian Darnley, Joel Henry, Cal Christensen and Sam Svaty each collected one hit to lead the Freshman’s offense.
