SANTA ANA, CA — but, we did gang up on Foothill today, beating one of OC's strongest teams, year in and year out. Today's match is a great example of our formula of not having to beat anyone's top player[s] in order to take the whole match. Our #1's went right after each other. Theirs prevailed, but Zach and Brady worked him so hard in their losses, that he cramped and had to be pulled in round 3. Cole was looking forward to playing him after dismissing their line 2 and 3 players easily and the sub he played had no chance. Gary and Connor swept 2 doubles sets easily but, also could not beat Foothills best duo. The Lions still need to shore up their double's teams, 3 sets out of 9 played needs to improve. Had Foothills top player stayed in, it was pretty evident that JSerra was up 17 games in game count and would have come out on top via that tiebreaker . We host Laguna Beach tomorrow, practice Wed, host Aliso Niguel, another, OC powerhouse, on Thursday. GO LIONS !!!
