Huntington Beach, CA — The junior varsity golf teams from Laguna Beach high school and Marina high school faced off on a beautiful day at the Meadowlark golf course in Huntington Beach, California. Marina emerged victorious with a final score of 213 to Laguna Beach's 251. Playing on the short but tricky Meadowlark course for the second day in a row, Laguna improved their team score by 10 strokes, but it was Marina who proved to be the stronger team on the day. Leading the way for the Breakers was freshman Trent Beason, who shot a score of 47. For Laguna Beach, the other player's scores included Andrew Tyson (51), Sasha Riahi (51), James Schroeder (51), Lachlan Soloff (51), Pedro Pinera (52), and Teddy Hacket (55). Despite the loss, Laguna Beach's team should be commended for their efforts and sportsmanship on the course. With continued hard work and dedication, they have the potential to become a skilled group of solid golfers.
