Fountain Valley, CA — Trap games are no fun, especially away in 30+ mph wind gales. Very worrisome start as JSerra had trouble getting out of the gates. Down in two pivotal sets, JSerra put the stop to the skids, turned the tide with some timely service breaks to take round 1, 4-2. Rounds 2 and 3 both followed suit for a 8-, round 2 lead and a 12-6 finale. The matches were much tighter than the score shows and KOach felt fortunate to avoid the trap door. KOach's Knotes: "This is the worst wind a JSerra team has ever played in and it showed. I think the first serve percentage was at 38% and the only thing that helped was the Monarchs not being very adept either! We will take the win and move on to unfinihed business though." Gary and Connor were back to there winning ways while Zach, Brady and Cole all took 2 sets. Cole picked up a 2nd set which evaded him in our 1st meeting, great improvement! Peter filled in and captured 2 doubles sets, playing very solid tennis with Cade. Keep up the work boys! See EVERYONE Wed 3pm HOME vs SM!!!! Gitterrrr done! Go Lions!!!
