Stratford, CT — Stratford hosted Bethel today at Penders Field in Stratford’s first SWC league game. The game was dominated by pitching with Bethel’s starter issuing a first inning lead-off walk & then retiring the next 21 batters without giving up a hit. Stratford’s starter Senior Ben Petrie was just a superb through 7 innings, spacing out 4 hits, throwing only 83 pitches, and striking out 7.
