Darien, CT — Stratford loses the back end on the home & home with FCIAC foe Darien High School. Stratford won a thrilling game 3-2 over Darien last week, but Darien came ready to play this afternoon at 1:00. Winning pitcher from last week Senior Joe Booska started again versus the Blue Wave, but his luck on holding down the home team this week was not the same. Darien hit the ball hard, made things happen with the bunt on several occasions, and Stratford’s defense had some hiccups along the way. Stratford’s highlight came in the form of Senior Ben Petrie’s late inning bomb for a HR over the left-center field fence. Stratford’s record now stands at 3-4, 0-1 (SWC league play). New Milford at New Milford HS on Monday in league play is next up for Stratford.
