New Milford, CT — Stratford traveled up to New Milford on Monday to face the Green Wave in Stratford’s second SWC league game. After fighting off 4 early walks with 3 coming in the first, Stratford starter Senior Dylan McCain carried the team on his back throwing 7 shutout innings, only yielding 6 hits, & going head-to-head with New Milford’s starter Muller in quite a pitcher’s duel. Senior Ben Petrie relieved Dylan McCain in the bottom of the 8th, threw admirably, but a couple of throwing errors led New Milford to eventually walk off with a 2-1 win. Stratford’s record now stands at 3-5, 0-2 SWC. Masuk and another SWC league game are up next up for Stratford on Wednesday at Penders at 4:15.
