Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees downed Stevenson 6-4 Tuesday evening. In the first inning, the Bees started their offense. John Bass singled home two runs. Andrew Mitchell added to the Zee-Bees total, hitting a sacrifice fly to score Ivan Jones. The Bees added additional runs in the fourth, fifth, & sixth innings on two hits from Michael Gonzalez & John Bass, a sacrifice fly from Adrian Gonzalez, and Julian Guzman scoring on a passed ball. Ryan Dunne got the win for the Zee-Bees. The righty surrendered one earned run on one hit over four and two-thirds of an inning, striking out 12. Julian Guzman threw two and a third innings of relief out of the bullpen. The Zee-Bees tallied five hits in the game. Bass and Michael Gonzalez each racked up multiple hits for the Bees, with Bass having three total hits. The Bees return to action on Wednesday, traveling to play Stevenson again with a 4:45 pm start.
