Commerce, MI — Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats nabbed the lead late in the game in a 6-2 victory over Walled Lake Northern on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats batting in the top of the fifth when Jaclyn Garvey homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Walled Lake Northern tied things up at one. Walled Lake Northern scored one run when K Turmall doubled. Sydney Long pitched Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats to victory. The ace allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out ten and walking zero. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats launched four home runs on the day.
