Easton, PA — The Easton Red Rovers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 5-2 loss to Whitehall on Friday. Whitehall scored on a single by Dylan Carfara and a single by Tyler Mastropieri in the first inning. Mastropieri was credited with the victory for Whitehall and lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out six and walking one. Matt Zingales took the loss for Easton. Zingales allowed nine hits and five runs over four innings, striking out three. Alex LaQuintano went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Easton in hits. Junior Gavin Gruber threw two scoreless innings for Easton striking out two and was followed by freshmen Chase Shollenberger who threw a scoreless inning. Easton's pitching did not allow a hit over the last three innings. Easton will take on Pocono Mountain West on Monday - March 27 at PM West at 4pm.
