Allentown, PA — Easton lost the lead late in a 15-6 defeat to Nazareth Area on Friday. The game was tied at five with Nazareth Area batting in the top of the sixth when Gavin Panovec singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Easton collected seven hits and Nazareth Area had 17 in the high-scoring affair. The Red Rovers scored five runs in the third inning. Braydon Hubbard, Alex LaQuintano, George Thomas, Kurtis Crossman, and Nolan Fuller all drove in runs in the frame. Jacoby Saur earned the win for Nazareth Area. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out three. Rowan Galiatto took the loss for Easton. The righthander allowed six hits and six runs over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero. Dally started the game for Nazareth Area. The ace allowed four hits and five runs over two and a third innings, striking out three. Easton Area Red Rovers Varsity scattered seven hits in the game. Anthony Suffness and Hubbard all managed multiple hits for Easton Area Red Rovers Varsity. Hubbard and Suffness each collected two hits to lead Easton Area. Nazareth Area totaled 17 hits in the game. Dally, Zach Smethers, David Bertz, Preston Warne, Cole Dibilio, and Panovec each collected multiple hits for Nazareth Area. Dally led Nazareth Area with four hits in five at bats. Easton will visit Liberty on Monday April 17 at 4pm in a division game.
