Easton, PA — Easton and Pleasant Valley went head-to-head in an exciting back-and-forth game that saw the Red Rovers Varsity coming away with a 15-10 victory. The game was tied at ten with Easton Area Red Rovers Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored two runs for Easton. Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Rovers collected 11 hits and Pleasant Valley 11 in the high-scoring affair. Easton took an early lead in the second inning when Khamryn Singto singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run to put the Rovers up 3-2. Pleasant Valley scored four runs in the fifth inning. Pleasant Valley big bats were led by Nate Loch and Dakota Lucas , all driving in runs in the inning. Gavin Gruber was the winning pitcher for Easton. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over the final two innings, walking zero. Ben Mostosky took the loss for Pleasant Valley. The hurler allowed seven hits and nine runs over two and a third innings, striking out five and walking zero. Ty Borger started the game for Pleasant Valley. The bulldog allowed four hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Easton's Josh Perry smacked a solo home run deep to left field to help Easton's second inning offense. Easton scattered 11 hits in the game. Singto, Brendan Larkin, and Nolan Fuller all managed two hits for Easton. Easton travels to arch rival Phillipsburg NJ on Saturday April 23, 2023 at 4:30pm.
