Allentown, PA — Easton sailed to an easy victory over Louis E. Dieruff 11-1 on Tuesday afternoon. Gavin Gruber took the win for the Red Rovers. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out six. Braden White threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Easton Area Red Rovers Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning putting a four spot on the board to take a 4-0 lead. Easton also scored four runs in the fifth inning led by Khamryn Singto and Anthony Suffness, an error on a ball put in play by Chase Shollenberger, and a double by Kurtis Crossman. G Gonzalez took the loss for Louis E. Dieruff. Gonzalez surrendered five runs on four hits over two innings, striking out two. Easton saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Crossman and Suffness each racked up multiple hits for Easton having two each. Villanueva led Louis E. Dieruff with two hits in three at bats. Easton hosts Bethlehem Catholic on Thursday April 27 at 4pm. Easton will honor our seniors prior to the game at 3:45pm.
