Acton, MA — Easton defeated Acton-Boxborough 1-0 on Friday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Rowan Galiatto struck out Casalena to finish off the game. The pitching was strong on both sides. Easton pitchers struck out six, while Acton-Boxborough pitchers sat down five. Ryan Holmes was credited with the victory for Red Rovers. The lefthander surrendered zero runs on two hits over two innings, walking zero. Galiotto threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen to earn the save. Colin Jackson started the game for Easton with Jackson throwing two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Braydon Hubbard led Easton Area Red Rovers Varsity with two hits in three at bats. Khamryn Singto knocked in the games only run with a sacrifice fly in the 5th inning bring home Brendan Larkin who doubled to lead off the inning. Easton goes to 8-8 on the year and will face Nazareth Sunday at 1pm at Nazareth.
