Easton, PA — Monday's game against Liberty was a heartbreaker for Easton Area Rovers JV, as they surrendered the winning run late in a 6-4 defeat. The game was tied at four with Liberty batting in the top of the sixth when the Hurricanes JV took the lead. . Easton JV lost despite out-hitting Liberty eight to five. Rovers pitchers walked seven and hit a batter in the loss. Liberty got on the board in the second inning with a triple on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. The Hurricanes would tack on another run in the frame on a throwing error. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Rovers JV tied things up at four when Harol Rodriguez singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Rowan Galiotto led things off on the hill for Easton Area Rovers JV. The hurler allowed one hit and three runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Zach Wagner, Chase Kinney, and Zach Mattes each contributed in relief for Easton Area Rovers JV. Rodriguez went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Easton Area Rovers JV in hits.
