Grandville, MI — JV Caledonia Fighting Scots ran off with the lead late in the game in a 7-2 victory over Grandville Junior Varsity Bulldogs on Wednesday. JV Caledonia Fighting Scots trailed 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning when Brogan Hacht singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. JV Caledonia Fighting Scots got things moving in the first inning. JV Caledonia Fighting Scots scored one run when Trevor Walter singled. Grandville Junior Varsity Bulldogs evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning when Noah Klitz doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Tucker Murray toed the rubber for JV Caledonia Fighting Scots. The righthander went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one. Cam Myers went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead JV Caledonia Fighting Scots in hits. Klitz led Grandville Junior Varsity Bulldogs with two hits in four at bats.
