Columbia, PA — Schuylkill Valley remained tied for first place in Section 5 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League with a 28-12 victory over host Columbia Friday. The Panthers (4-0, 6-1) won their sixth straight and third in a row without All-State running back Dominic Giuffre, who has been out with an arm injury. The Panthers took a 7-0 lead on a 7-yard run by Cooper Hohenadel. The Crimson Tide (0-4, 1-6) cut it to 7-6 on a 44-yard pass from Cameron McClair to Quincy Stewart. A fumble recovery in the end zone by Colby Stricker gave Schuylkill Valley the lead for good. Logan Nawrocki connected with Kowen Gerner on a 79-yard touchdown pass to give the Panthers a 21-6 lead. Nawrocki scored on a 4-yard run set up by a Colby Crills interception to make it 28-6. Schuylkill Valley held Columbia to 15 yards rushing on 14 carries.
