Massillon, OH — The Bears got out to an early lead 5-0 after one inning of play and were able to hold off a dangerous Blue Streaks team 9-5. In the 1st, Hogan Sedlock led off with a 3B and scored on a Carter Mottice RBI ground out. Garrett Wright proceeded to then double to left and after a couple walks and a hit by pitch, Carson Pastorius had an infield single to plate two runs. Kyle Andrews finished the inning off with an RBI single up the middle. After the Blue Streaks fought back to make it 5-4 the Bears answered with 3 in the 5th, highlighted by Jake Sweetnich's 2 out 2 two RBI double. Carson Pastorius relieved starter Landon Thiel in the 4th and finished the game. He scattered 3 hits and struck out 4 to pick up his 3rd win of the season out of the pen. The Bears raised their record to 13-3 and 5-1 in Federal League play.
