Uniontown, OH — Your Polar Bears won a wild one Weds in 8 innings to raise our Federal League record to 6-1 (14-3 overall). Carter Mottice continued to cause havoc getting on base 5 times on the night including two hits, BB, HbP and a fielders choice RBI. Garrett Wright got back on the hit train with 2 knocks and an RBI along with Carson Pastorius (3 hits on the night) two out single in the top of the 7th to score Kyle Benson to tie the game and send it into extras. The Bears were able to score in the top of the 8th when Eric Freetage singled home Hogan Sedlock and Kyle Benson follow that up with a sacrifice fly to plate Mottice. Aiden Castile came on in the 4th inning wiggled through some jams with a couple timely strike outs (6Ks on the night) and stellar defense in the later innings. The game did not disappoint with drama; in the bottom of the 8th with two out and runners at 1B and 2B, and a single to right field, Eric Freetage proceeds to throw the runner out at the plate to end the game. The Bears are back in action Friday at Hoban (5pm) and Sat at Munson Stadium (12:15pm) where they will face Mayfield in the PBR Invite Event.
