Akron, OH — Jackson was able to outscore the Knights of Archbishop Hoban 9-5 in a shortened 6 inning game (due to darkness and weather). The Bears struck first in the top half 1st inning scoring Nick Zito on Carter Mottice's RBI double. Garrett Wright followed with a RBI ground out to score Mottice to give the Bears the early 2-0 lead. Starter Griffin Cochran was relieved in the 3rd by Landon Doll who went 3 innings and limited the damage of some free base runners. The Bears tied the game in the 4th (5-5) with RBI singles from Layne Keller and Hogan Sedlock. In the top of the 5th the Bears took the lead for good with a two hit from Eric Freetage and later scores on a Carson Pastorius 0-2 RBI single.
