La Verne, CA — The Charter Oak varsity boys basketball team opened up tournament play versus South Pasadena High at 6 PM on Tuesday evening at San Dimas High School. The Chargers traded baskets for most of the first three quarters with South Pasadena before pulling away in the fourth quarter to seal the win. The charges were good down stretch led by senior forward Jermaine Braddock who scored 26 points. Senior forward Chase Evans and senior guard Michael Anyanwu tallied 19 and 18 points respectively and Noah Que had 8 points and 8 assists to aid the Charger effort. Chargers won 81-72 and will face Ayala High School at 3PM on Wednesday 12/27 at San Dimas High.
