Covina, CA — The Charter Oak Chargers boys varsity basketball team stayed unbeaten on their home court with a win on Friday night. The Chargers beat visiting Diamond Ranch high school by a score of 57-52. Charter Oak moves into a tie for second place with the Panthers. Both teams sit at 4-2 in league play. CO improves to 15-6 overall. The Chargers started off strong in the first quarter and though it was a close game throughout, they stayed on top throughout the game. Charter Oak was led by senior forward Jermaine Braddock who scored 21 points. Senior forward Chase Evans chipped in 19, while senior guard Noah Que dropped 12 points. And while it doesn’t show in the Scorebook, Senior forward-center, Lou Farrar played an excellent defensive game in the middle denying interior passing and grabbing crucial rebounds in crunch time. Charter Oak stays at home on Wednesday night to face Los Altos High who is currently unbeaten in Hacienda league play.
