Eagan, MN — Burnsville Varsity Blaze defeated Eagan Wildcats 10-7 thanks to a strong start. The Blaze pulled away for good with eight runs in the second inning. Darren Einberger homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Eli Keirstead was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Brody Illa induced Cole Sieben to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Jacob Neutz singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Collin Heckman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Burnsville Varsity Blaze, and Paul Galvez Zarate singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Nick Discher led the Burnsville Varsity Blaze to victory on the mound. The righty went four innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out seven. Ben Woelfel, Heckman, and Nicholas Meuser all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
