Rosemount, MN — The Blaze watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-2 loss to Rosemount Varsity Irish on Wednesday. The Blaze fell behind 3-0 after 2 innings but got a run back in the top of the third after loading the bases on a single by Paul Galvez Zarate, a double by Eli Keirstead and walk by Cole Sieben. Galvez scored on an error by the shortstop before a strikeout and double play ended the rally. Jacob Neutz was on the pitcher's mound for the Blaze. The righthander allowed one hit and three runs over two innings, striking out four. AJ Galvin and Vincent Birch entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one inning respectively. Galvez Zarate led the Blaze with two hits in two at bats, while Keirstead (double) and Nicholas Meuser (single) had the only other hits on the night.
