Mabton, WA — Mabton Washington- The Coyotes took the hour bus ride to Mabton, Washington to take on the hometown Vikings on Saturday afternoon. The Coyotes came out quick on the first play from scrimmage where QB Logan Beck hit a streaking Crew Parreira on a 55 yard seam route for a Coyote TD. The Coyotes defense held strong giving the Coyotes the ball with great field possession. After a long run Elijah Kinsey took in his first of 7 total TD's on a three yard plunge. The Coyotes never looked back. The defense held the Vikings to 87 yards of total offense and had 5 total takeaways. Brandon Leahy had two INT's, Justin Good and Julian Zahn each had one and Justin Hilberg had a fumble recovery. On offense the offensive line had their way. Columbia rushed for over 300 yards, 250 of that came from Elijah Kinsey. In the first seven snaps from scrimmage the Coyotes had scored five total touchdowns and held a 33-0 lead with 5 minutes left in the first quarter. The Coyotes also had 100 yards through the air prior to turning to the run game. It was a great win for the Coyotes who took home the victory 59-0 going to 1-0 in league play. Next league game is at home on Thursday the 4th vs the visiting Warden Cougars.
