Burnsville, MN — It came down to the wire on Wednesday, with Burnsville Varsity Blaze taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over #2 ranked Rosemount Varsity Irish. The game was tied at three with the Blaze batting in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded when Darren Einberger singled on a 0-1 count, scoring John Santelman from third for the 4-3 walk off win. In the first inning, the Irish got their offense started when Jun Moeller singled. The Blaze evened things up at three in the bottom of the second inning. The Blaze scored three runs in the inning on a single by Paul Galvez and doubles by Nicholas Meuser and Eric Kilgore. Jacob Neutz started the game for the Blaze.
