Burnsville, MN — Jacob Neutz was brilliant on the pitcher's mound on Thursday, as Neutz threw a no-hitter to lead Burnsville Varsity Blaze past Apple Valley Varsity Eagles 4-0. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over seven innings, while striking out four. In the second inning, the Blaze got their offense started when Neutz doubled, Colin Heckman had a bunt single & AJ Galvin grounded into a double play, scoring Paul Galvez who was running for Neutz. The Blaze scored three runs in the third inning, the big inning was driven by Nicholas Meuser who reached on an error, a bunt single by Eric Kilgore and a sacrifice bunt and error on a ball put in play by John Santelman that scored Meuser and Kilgore. After another sacrifice bunt by Eli Keirstead moved Santelman to third, Cole Sieben grounded out to first base scoring Santelman to give the Blaze a 4-0 lead. Collin Heckman led Burnsville Varsity Blaze with two hits in three at bats. Neutz, Sieben and Kilgore also collected hits for the Blaze.
