Caledonia, MI — Carter Born took the loss for the Fighting Scots. The hurler lasted five innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out four. Born shut out West Ottawa during four of the five innings he threw, but the Panthers pushed crossed four runs during the fourth inning with four walks. Mitch Smith threw two shutout innings of the bullpen for Caledonia. He didn't allow a hit or run during his innings and struck out three. West Ottawa's Ruby silenced the bats for the Scots with Jace Lawton leading the offense with a double, but was stranded on base on base for the Scots.
