San Dimas, CA — After a heartbreaking loss to Mark Keppel High School the night before (48-49), The Charter Oak Varsity basketball team posted a 68-56 victory over Kaiser High School to take 3rd place in the bronze division of the Classic at Damien. The win puts the Chargers record at 8-3 on the year going into a three game week beginning in January. The Chargers were led by senior forward Jermaine Braddock with 20 points who also earned All-Tournament honors. Senior forward Rueben Carrillo pitched in 16 points, notching four three pointers for the blue and gold. Charter Oak’s balanced scoring and intermittent pressure helped seal the win. Captains Chase Evans and Michael Anyanwu also tallied 14 points a piece. The Chargers travel to Chaffey High on Wednesday the 3rd for a rematch. Games versus La Puente and Northview close the week out.
