New Paris, PA — On a rainy night in Fishertown, the Chestnut Ridge Lions secured their 3rd win of the season. In the first 1st quarter with 1:52 left to go, Nate Whysong scored on a 1-yard run to put the Lions on the board. The kick by Thomas Kostenbauder was good. The second score for the Lions was N. Whysong with a 10-yard run and a Kostenbauder kick in the second half. Bishop McCort/Carroll got in on the action when Brock Beppler returned the kickoff for 87 yards & Lukas Conner kicked the extra point with 2:12 left in the 2nd quarter. However the Lions weren't finished with the first half and went on to score with 0:06 left of the half, when N. Whysong scored for the third time on a 1-yard run (Kostenbauder's kick was good). The third quarter was scoreless, but with 11:51 left in the 4th quarter, CR's JaRod Wolfhope caught a 35-yard pass from N. Whysong to score (Kostenbauder kick), sending the Lions up 28-7. The final touchdown for the Lions was a handoff to Kyler Caulley for a 2-yard run (Kostenbauder kick), making the final score 35-7.
