Demarest, NJ — On a beautiful Friday night in Demarest, the Scarlets dominated on both sides of the ball. The offense rushed for 364 yards and gained over 450 total yards. Nick Buda, Francisco Then, and Kevin Velasquez led the way on the ground and Miles Green, Shea Losino, and Nick Buda each hauled in passes from Francisco. None of this would have been possible without the best offensive line play we’ve seen in some time with Derek Martinez, Jayden Lemire, Saad Dahhan, Noah Evertz, Carlos Castellon, and Jayden Everett. The Scarlet defense only allowed 6 points total, 1 first down in the first half, and 0 points in the second half. Buda had 10 tackles, Martinez had 9 tackles, Dorien Gaiter had 8 tackles. Gaiter had 2 sacks, Martinez had 1 sack and 3 TFLs. Aaron Vargas, Velasquez, and Losino held down there responsibilities on the edges and backfield of the defense. The fan turnout was great for an away game before the school year starts. We are fired up to play at home on Friday night in THE PIT vs the Snyder Tigers!
