Dublin, OH — On August 29th the Westerville South Varsity Girls Soccer team traveled to Dublin, to take on Dublin Scioto. The first half the defense was challenged. Two goals were scored by Double Scioto in the first half despite the Wildcats competitive play. Coach Weimer fired up his team and South came out of halftime with a sense of urgency. Anna Miller had a goal and is now on a 3 game scoring streak. Miriam Rife had the assist. Emma Champe stood her ground in the second-half with no goals allowed. The defense protector the net, great play by Maddie Borth, Tatum Randall, Laney Colvin and Leila Henderson. Despite their best efforts Westerville South ended up with a loss 2 to 1.
