Bainbridge Island, WA — It was a great game. Sequim brought it early and the Spartans responded. Olympic League wins are tough, but we got our first of the season. It was great to get Luca Scheltens back in the line up, he has had a long road back! Offensively, we had a balanced attack of run (about 175 yards) and pass (about 160 yards). We have identified some things that still need work, but overall, I am pleased with our athletes progress! GO SPARTANS! The first game of our Olympic League schedule proved to be an exhilarating start. Sequim came out strong, providing us with a great challenge, but our team showcased remarkable resilience in the face of their efforts. The standout performance of the night was by our underclassmen on the defensive side. Each of them delivered an outstanding performance when they went in, and have created huge enthusiasm among our staff for the future of the season and program. Key Plays: Owen Sweeny: interception Joseph Caron: Fumble Recovery
