Sterling, IL — Galesburg jumped out to a 12-3 first quarter win, then a 30-15 halftime lead. They finished with a 46-28 win. Despite being cold from the field, only hitting 6 of 22 threes, the Streaks handled the Sterling press. Galesburg had only 12 turnovers. Handling the ball all night, freshmen point guards Taylor and Ella Herchenroder had only 5 turnovers Ella led the Streaks with 15 points and 4 assists. Antonia Kisler (8), Syriah Boyd (6), and Joz Kilgore (7) were dominate on the boards thru the night. While Antonia, Alexis Edgerson, and Kiarra Kilgore did not score as much as they have, they showed fantastic composure and senior leadership that allowed the Streaks to get out with a win. Galesburg is now 3-0 on the season, and 1-0 in the WB6. Next up will be Manual at noon on Saturday, followed by Limestone at 6pm.
